Hi everyone. My wife, aged 34 was diagnosed with endometrial cancer 3 days before christmas :( we have the results of her MRI and chest/abdo/pelvis CT on Thursday. I cant believe this is happening,, shes so young. Has anyone else experienced endometrial cancer before? And would be willing to share their own story/support.

Thanks x

Hi OP.

I don’t have endometrial cancer, but ovarian which is similar. I was 36 at diagnosis last year. I’ve since been on hell of a ride including major surgery, chemo and now a hormone inhibitor for at least 5 years.

This phase is the worst. The shock and horror are unreal. It may not seem like it but you will feel better once you have all the results and a plan of action in place. Stay away from google if you can, stats are so outdated, cancer treatment moves on very quickly and stats are very often many years out of date.

Good luck today with results. If she wants some support there is a Cancer Support thread in general health she can join, there arw 1 or 2 endometrial ladies there. Outside I would recommend calling Macmillan or dropping into your local Maggies.
