Bowel Cancer Check

I've had these symptoms:

Bleeding from bottom when I wipe myself

diarrhoea in the mornings about 3 times a week

Occasional stomach aches

Weight loss

I know I should go to my surgery and get checked out but I am just dreading it. I had a GP who was inappropriate with me during a consultation quite a few years ago.

Does anyone know if I could just do a poo sample or something instead?

My brother is going through something similar at the moment. Very similar symptoms to yours. The first contact with his GP was a telephone call. They arranged a poo sample test, which was inconclusive. It was repeated and came back clear. Again telephone call with GP and due to DBs symptoms arranged a call from a specialist nurse who was absolutely fantastic.

Please get yourself on the phone to a GP, you can explain why you want to start with a sample test rather than an examination. You absolutely know that you must do this and that it is unlikely to be cancer, but that must be ruled out first.
