Need advice, I think a fibroid just fell out

Hi,

Advice would be appreciated on the below, apologies for the tmi!

A couple of days ago, around the middle of my cycle i started cramping and bleeding. I thought that my period had come early. A day after this i noticed a fleshy lump inside my vagina, this was very weird and I was concerned a cyst had grown.

The next morning, I passed a lump. I assumed it was a large clot but it was not bloody and was more fleshy. It was about 3cm in diameter. I did not get to feel if it was hard as it went straight into the toilet.

Is there anything this could be other than a uterine fibroid? Looking online it seems there may be a risk of bleeding if a fibroid expels itself?

It is now the next day and I have minimal bleeding.

There is no chance I could be pregnant. I'm 34 years old and have no knowledge of whether I have/had fibroids or not.

Thank you!

decidual cast?

Has the fleshy lump in the vagina gone since the thing fell out? I personally would have fished the lump out of the toilet and taken it to the GP for testing!

lost tampon?

Another vote for decidual cast

Yes the fleshy lump has now gone. I regret not fishing it out but it was a public toilet so I decided against it at the time.

Thank you for the ideas.

I'm not sure about it being a decidual cast. It didn't look bloody like that. Also would that mean the rest of the womb lining would follow, as it wasn't enough flesh to be the entire womb lining. The bleeding has now stopped although I still have pain.

Definitely not a lost tampon.

I think passing fibroids is far more common than the whitecoats want us to believe they are. Why? I've passed a bunch of them (clots don't have visible structures, such as vascularization, yes I dissected and/or preserved some of them).
Doctors would be out of a huge cash cow if we hens were to find out that passing dead fibroids was normal

I'm American, of course

Interesting Dixie, thanks for your input. I agree it probably isn't as rare as it is claimed to be. I came to the conclusion it must have been a fibroid in my case. I haven't had any further symptoms. Hopefully it was a one off.
