combined pill and evening wobbliness

I am in my late 40s and have just started the combined pill about a week ago. The hope is that will stop my horrendous periods if I take it back to back. One side effect that I am having is feeling sick and wobbly in the evenings. I am fine until about 4pm. Is that something normal?

(I posted this on chat before I found this part of the website.)

This sounds bad but I have never had those symptoms. I can't believe you are unique though in this.

Did you consider a Mirens coil ?

KangarooKenny · 31/12/2022 17:04
  • Mirena

Could be the estrogen in the pill causing the nausea. If it doesn't get better with time it might be worth seeing if you can try another combined pill which has a lower dose.of estrogen if you're not already on the lowest dose.

I am a little scared of the coil but if that is better I will think about it again.

Nospringchix I feel sick almost immediately after I take the pill. The wobbliness has got a bit better though.

Could you take it closer to bed time so you sleep through the nausea?

MrsPotterings · 11/01/2023 09:10

SummerLove2306 I am taking it at bed time but this just means I feel sick all night.
