Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a great Christmas!!
This post might be long and I apologise in advance if so.
My cycles are roughly 30-32 days and period length is between 5-6 days but this month has been horrible and weird and I’m just worried.
last months cycle was normal.. started on time and ended on time. And my next period was projected to start on the 24th December (talk about perfect timing tho lol) anyway.. I started to feel a little weird on cycle day 17-19 which.. my breasts were incredibly sore and I couldn’t figure out why.
I had sex on the 13th December which was cycle day 20 with and without toys with no issues at all. No soreness or anything at all. No pain aswell. (The toy was made of glass. No breaks or chips in the toy. I currently don’t own that toy anymore)
On the 14th December in the evening (nearly a full 24hrs afterwards) I started spotting which I thought was really weird and then bam the next day, full blown bleeding 10 days before my projected period on cycle day 20.. it was heavy, full of clots and weird looking jelly type stuff (literally just a small looking bit once the rest was clots)…. (SORRY TMI)
I suffer with extremely heavy periods anyway and I’m on prescription medication to keep it at bay but it didn’t seem to work.
Days and days went by and I got up to 8 days on my period which I thought was very strange and concerning because the bleeding just wasn’t slowing down. So I spoke to my local gynaecology hospital and I explained everything and she told me that because I started bleeding 24hrs after using the toy that it was unlikely the toy and it’s nothing to be concerned about and to just keep an eye and if I’m bleeding where I have to change a pad every 30 mins to an hour to call back.
Luckily it never got to that stage after the first 5 days. 5 days I had a heavy period which went into a ‘normal’ looking period (I say normal, it wasn’t for me because mine usually are heavy and then it turns into very light bleeding but I guess it would be what a normal period would look like if I didn’t have menorrhagia if that kinda makes sense idk).
But it carried on till I got to period day 11. That’s right 11. When usually mine last for 5-6 days with the help of medication aswell (which I did take this month anyway even tho it didn’t really work). I stopped yesterday, but when I went to the bathroom before, I started having blood streaked discharge (red blood) and now I’m really really worried I’m getting my period again after it stopping.
I don’t understand what is happening. I am not in pain in the slightest, I no longer have sore breasts. My toy was a proper sex toy so it’s shatter resistant and bought from lovehoney so it’s real and it’s safe. There was nothing wrong with the toy but I threw it anyway because my anxiety is through the roof. I don’t understand what’s happening and why I started so early and why it ended ‘ish’ so late.
I’m scared something is wrong.. I have a GP appointment the 28th and I’m hoping they will have a look down there to see if everything looks healthy. But in the mean time I thought I would ask on here to see if anyone has been through what I’m currently going through (doesn’t have to be sex toy related, just period related lol)
I just want it to stop before I become anaemic (but at this point I think I already am as my last blood test shows normal but on the low side of iron)

just to add aswell.. I am also not swollen down there, I had sex last night with ZERO pain and my partner said nothing felt weird and everything seemed okay. No pain afterwards either.
