How to beat eczema w/out hydrocortisone?

Struggling with awful eczema on my boobs. I usually get a bit but I think this winter it’s heightened by breastfeeding my seven month old. His baby eczema has been cured by Aveeno and Sudocrem but nothing seems to be working on me. Have also tried Diprobase. The itching is doing my head in and have some very sore patches now. Can’t use hydrocortisone cream while bfing so looking for alternatives…

any tips?!

Hi you could try coconut oil?

RewildingAmbridge · 06/01/2023 00:13

Body shop hemp cream is the only thing that works when I have a painful flare up, I get eczema on my face as well as other areas so avoid hydrocortisone. Mine is pretty under control and I rarely have a flare these days, I did when BF though, I suspect mine is affected by hormones

Skin Salvation cream is really helping me.

I was going to suggest body shop hemp cream. It didn’t work for my dd but I know others it worked for.

Breastmilk really irritated my boobs, so I'd wash them with a damp flannel and air dry as much as possible.
I can't use any moisturiser on my eczema now, after topical steroid withdrawal has triggered reactions to almost everything.

Hi @Rachldn E45 itch relief might help.
I’m still breastfeeding my 2.5yr old and have used hydrocortisone cream whilst breastfeeding (but not on my breasts!)

Thanks for all the ideas, haven’t tried coconut oil and haven’t even heard that Hemp might help so will give them a whirl.
