Hi,

I've tried to see a doctor but can't get an appointment, so I've arranged to see a physio, just worried I'm wasting their time.

2 weeks ago I started getting a pain in my lower left side, just above my bum, (doesn't feel like tummy ache) at first it felt like walking on hot coals with shooting pains the day it started, now it's like a dull ache with stiffness when getting up and sitting on something lower like a toilet seat. It's started waking me up during the night and is most terrible first thing in the morning (as if resting not good)

The pain seems to react well to heat more than anything (painkillers have just stopped helping)

But my period is late (no chance I'm pregnant) which is making me wonder whether it's medical or a sprain.

To add to the mix - I've also lost 1 stone and a half in 4 weeks (been trying to lose weight) and I've exercised every day mainly walking and aqua aerobics. I don't remember falling or pulling anything.

You have the same symptoms as me, I've been referred for an ultra sound to rule out a cyst or hernia (among other things). You should really see your gp x

Sorry I apologise, I didn't read your post properly! Just ignore my comment 😂. I do hope you feel better though op!

Thank you for the response, seems I might have to get an answer out of the physio sooner then the GP. Hope your appointment goes ok. x

I was hoping I'd reached the point of keep being asked if I'm pregnant at 41 and more likely nearer the peri menopause!
