Burning down there before period. HELP!

I have bad health anxiety and this has been worrying me for some time. It’s probably tmi but the point is that a couple of days before my period starts, down there burns so much! Its infuriating. I don’t know what to do! Has anyone else experienced something like this? (p.s. I’m not sexually active so it’s not anything to do with that).

Scented toilet paper?

Itaintwhatyoudoitsthewaythatyoudoit · 12/12/2022 23:46

This happens to me after my period and I think it is due to scented sanpro.

Are you using any perfumed shower gel/clothes detergent that could be contributing to it?

Hormonal imbalance ? Maybe try some vagisil?

SnowWay · 13/12/2022 13:59

I get this OP.

Every months about 3 or 4 days before my period I get what feels like thrush and a UTI. I have a constant supply of canesten as I know it's going to happen.

Then when my period starts it dissapears after a day or so.

I think it must be something to do with hormone changes or PH changes to the vagina?

Oh I feel your pain OP. I use to get that before and during my period.
After some research, I started taking some probiotics tablets I got off amazon and and my fanny has never felt better.
Just occurred to me now that I haven't taken these tablets in a while and only just finished my period and I didn't get the burning!

Have you been to the doctor? There are a number of different reasons for this. People who experience itching at the same point during every cycle may have a condition called cyclic vulvovaginitis.

Go see a professional. There's no reason for you to be in ongoing pain.
