Has anyone had/got one? Just found out I have, following a ultrasound. GP has done an urgent gynaecologist referral but said not to worry. Googling provides pretty vague information... a few are cancerous, most are not, may or may not need to be removed... not sure what to make of it really.

Had one of these. Mine was removed during laparoscopic type surgery because it was also preventing conception

Thank you! Have you had any problems since?

No, its been fine. Infact it was thought to be congenital ie there since birth.

Oh wow that's interesting! Mine's definitely new, unless it was missed on previous ultrasounds! Thank you for replying

I have one and I've also had an internal as well as an ultrasound.
I'm going to have them/it removed hopefully under a general anaesthetic rather than a local.
Does anybody know; if I have a general, do I get to stay a few hours in a hospital bed and have a meal?
Sorry to hijack the thread x

I would have thought so @witchesbubblebath!

Hopefully. You never know with the NHS cuts.
It's not reay about the polyp, more about ny burn out and insomnia. I want to be looked after even it's only for a short time.
