I currently have an infection in my left breast on antibiotics but dr said if the antibiotics don't work then he's looking at inflammatory breast cancer, he told me I should start to see results in a few days but it's been 4 days now and I'm still have the same symptoms, has anyone else been through this.

I'm 31 had a hysterectomy in feb this year. I'm also on immune suppressants.

That's really not good. Have you tried booking one online or phoning and explaining to the Receptionist how important it is that you are seen and asking if they will give you an appointment for tomorrow?

Hi there, I had this a few years ago. I had googled all the worrying things but the antibiotics started working towards the end of the course and I was ok. Please let us know how you are xx

Hope you get to see a GP today. Think I'd be tempted to turn up and plead my case if things haven't improved any Flowers

Hi, I'm going through very similar! Can I ask what your symptoms are? Hope things are improving for you.

Hill1991 · 17/12/2022 07:53

did speak to a different doctor who wants me to finish the 2week course of antibiotics and my symptoms are a red breast a lot of swelling and it's really hard and heavy and very sensitive to touch

Is it the whole breast or just one part? I'm non Breast feeding (never been pregnant) and have similar and a similar timeframe to yourself.

I woke last Saturday with a hot, red and thickened lump area on the lower part of breast. Doctor thinks it's an abcess but I'm not convinced!

This sounds very similar to what mines doing. Does it feel hot? Has it got any worse? From what I have read (been reading alot !) I think it gets worse if it's anything more than an infection type thing.

Has it changed at all since being on the antibiotics? Which ones were you given? I'm allergic to penicillin so was given something else which apparently is actually quicker at improving infections.

Good luck. It's so scary isn't it.
