Hello,

I had a cervical biopsy 4 weeks ago and the consultant said it did not look like it was anything to worry about. However, I've now received a letter to say I have cin3 high grade pre-cancerous cells that are being removed next week!

It's come as a huge shock after being told everything looked ok initially.

It's worrying me that they are treating it so quickly? I've not been able to get hold of a gp today so I'm just left worrying. Please can I have any positive outcomes from women who have also been through this?

Thank you x

Hi, I had the same, had the surgery with local anaesthetic, can't remember being in too much pain after and 9 years of clear results since. Hope that settles your mind a bit.

Hi - I've had CIN3 cells before & two loop biopsies with local anesthetic's. I have gone on to have clear smear tests. I know it's scary when you see the letter.

I was a bit crampy afterwards for the rest of the day but over the counter painkillers / hot water bottle helped.

Thank you for your replies. Did either of you go onto get pregnant afterwards? We were hoping to try for our second next year and I'm now worried I'll struggle to hold a baby?
