TMI , sore red inner labia around vagina

For the past couple of weeks I have had quite a sore inner labia around my vagina hole and it’s quite red. There are no patches , smells, itchiness , discharge or anything like that it’s just very irritated and I’m not sure what this could be.

I only notice the pain when I am wiping after a pee. The only thing I can think of was, I had to take a dry tampon out like 2 months ago and it really hurt but like I said that was ages ago surely it wouldn’t still be sore? I am also on antibiotics for acne at he minute I don’t know if that could have anything to do with it . Does anyone have any ideas?

Yep I get this every time I go on ABs, it’s essentially thrush. I take lots of probiotics, kefir etc to help rebalance the yeast/probiotic levels m, use some Canesten cream, and it sorts itself out in a few days.

It could be thrush - you don’t always have to have the white discharge. I would get some canestan - the pessary and the cream and see if that helps. (Especially as you’ve been on antibiotics I would bet it’s thrush).

You can also get a bit sore there with menopause sometimes.

Yes this - if this is the case you can have Ovestin oestrogen cream prescribed which you can use around the external areas as well as internally.

Ahhh I’m 21 I’m hoping it wouldn’t be menopause !! But thanks guys I’ll grab some cream in boots
