Lost tampon?

Ok so this morning I went to the loo and could not find the tampon. Certainly hadn't felt weird to put another in (changed several times today) and I've done the whole bath/squat/ rummage thing and can't feel a thing.

I've either not put one in by mistake last night (but periods are very heavy so would've expected a lot of mess) or it's slipped out when I had a wee which has happened before but it's usually very noticeable when that's happened.

Do I presume I haven't used one or presume it's gotta be still in there somewhere

It's either in there and you need to get checked out due to the risks associated with leaving a tampon in for too long, or it's not and you're fine - problem is that you're unsure. I'd have thought you'd be able to feel it with a bit of rummaging, but our anatomies are all different and it's possible it is up there and you just can't feel it. If you're in doubt, give your gp a call in the morning and they'll have to check.

I was in your shoes years ago OP and I went to the doc (first time with a new doc, oh god!) anyway he had a search and couldn't find it.

Part of me always suspected I'd taken it out in the mornings on autopilot but I had absolutely no recollection. My head was fried trying t figure out what I'd done!

There's no really anywhere it could have gone though. If u can't find it then its surely not there.
