I’m so sorry for the pictures but I need help. My doctors won’t see me because I’m apparently too young for a prolapse and they won’t listen to me but something is so wrong. I’m sorry for the horrible pictures 😭

Hi GeorgeJames,

Didn’t want to read and run.

Why is the Dr. Refusing to see you? Have you had a telephone consultation with a Dr etc?

What is your situation? Do you have any children? X

LifeIsHardAlways · 19/11/2022 23:37

You’re not too young to have a prolapse, just unlikely given your age and even more so if you haven’t had any children. What feels “wrong”?
And if you self examine, is there any bulges in the front or back of vaginal wall? Is your cervix sitting very low?

Hi, I’m 20f, 5 weeks PP and I had a forcep delivery with episiotomy.

Because I’m young and my symptoms don’t match but Google literally says a traumatic delivery can trigger it😭I have 1 child. 5 weeks pp

Have you had your 6/8 week yet with the GP? Mine examined me and said yes there was a prolapse. Well 2 actually. She just said to keep doing the pelvic floor exercises and she would refer me to a physio if there was no improvement after 12 weeks.

Rainbowsalt · 20/11/2022 19:59

Find a women’s health physio to help with recovery. Maybe try searching mummy mot.

and please don’t worry about a hysterectomy, that definitely won’t be on the cards for sometime (if ever!)

I have a prolapse and went to the bladder clinic
Old time mum so not pp but what helps is not forcing wee or poo so make sure you aren't constipated if so take a senna but if breast feeding check first you're allowed. Good luck. I think they are pretty common

Littlecaf · 21/11/2022 21:54

Please do speak to your GP and get a second opinion. Took me three goes for find one who said “yep that’s a prolapse”. Was only a lower grade bladder prolapse - but the Womens Health Physio was great. Please keep pushing your GP for a referral. Show her these photos.
