Early next week I have an operation to fix an episiotomy that went wrong.
In the last week I've developed a cough. The text about my appointment said that if I have a cough to stay at home for 7 days and reschedule - the operation will be on the 7th day of this cough. I am consistently testing negative for Covid and will obviously check again before the op. I only have a cough with no other symptoms but I do get some pretty intense coughing episodes currently.
I was going to call tomorrow and discuss this with them but at the same time I've been waiting over a year for this procedure and part of me is wondering whether to just go for it.
I'm just wondering what you would do? Would you cancel, call and discuss or just go for it?
I suppose I'm also concerned that having a cough with stitches in that area may cause problems too. I am doing all the tips and tricks to get better quickly but obviously running out of time.
