If cerazette made you bleed did you find a mini pill that didn't?

Nope. I came off hormonal contraception all together.

Galvia · 07/11/2022 07:52

Yes, the mirena coil.

Ostryga · 07/11/2022 07:52

Nope the only thing that has stopped my periods is the Mirena coil. Had it for 2 years now and apart from it settling for 4 weeks haven’t had a period since. Best thing ever.

Watercoloursky · 07/11/2022 07:54

I'm on Zeletta and haven't had a period since I started on it 5 years ago. I think it might have the same active ingredients as Cezarette, though, so might not be any good for you?

Afterfire · 07/11/2022 07:56

How long have you been on it? I only ask because almost everyone I know who had problems with bleeding on it didn’t give it long enough to settle (stopping within first 6 months). It took about 6-8 months for my bleeding / spotting to completely stop on it but after that absolutely nothing - been on it 8 years now. Of course for some women it just never settles but
worth persevering if you’re still in the early months.

Mirena coil for me too, after many years of birth control issues.

PARunnerGirl · 07/11/2022 08:07

No, I tried two types for 9 months each. I didn’t try Mirena because I just couldn’t get my head round why it would be any different since it’s the same drug type, just different administration. I do know most get on better with it though!

qqq82 · 07/11/2022 08:40

I might just have to get sterilised
It's the bleeding for 6 months I can't tolerate and will never get the coil

Being sterilised doesn’t stop periods. You’d have to have a hysterectomy which comes with its own issues.

Why wouldn’t you get the coil?

qqq82 · 07/11/2022 09:33

I'm not bothered about periods it's the never ending bleeding on the mini pill
I won't get the coil due to what has happened to a few people I know including my Aunty who nearly died due to it

You could come off the pill and use other methods of contraception.

I don't take hormonal contraception at all. I've had an ablation done to reduce my periods but that isn't contraception. We use condoms as well.
