I'm not surprised you're tired @DarkChocolateMint

I know it's often trotted out but have you tried guided meditation to help you sleep?

Mindymomo · 07/11/2022 09:00

I feel like that, but I am 61, although in my head I still feel young. I do find I have more energy when I haven’t had alcohol and when I eat healthily.

I rarely drink.... I try to eat well but I admit when I feel like this i eat rubbish! Husband works long hours sometimes I just grab a snack rather than cook for one!!

Did you have your iron checked when your bloods were done?

PutYourShoesOnWereLate · 07/11/2022 12:32

Working full time is exhausting all by itself, plus you have another job on top. Having a small child is exhausting all by itself, and I guarantee that even when you do sleep, you don't fall into a deep sleep as you've always got one ear open for your child in the night. I have a sleep tracker on a fit watch, i get barely any deep sleep according to it. I'm knackered and run down too.

I know it's hard. But if you are really questioning why you feel bad... this is the answer. Bodies need movement and they need good nutrition. It's that simple.

Finding a way to work it into your life is less simple, but if you want to feel better, you have to find a way.

Exercise will make you feel better.
Do it right when you wake up to make sure you get it in.

keeprunningupthathill · 07/11/2022 19:23

It's hard. I am about to get bloods done for thyroid for various reasons. And I do do drink a fair bit which I should probably cut out (about 30 units a week.)Had thyroid issues in the past so wouldn't be out of the blue and makes you feel like total crap.

I would echo that exercise really does make me feel better - I sleep better and eat less rubbish. I went through a phase of doing 5k a day and I remember just running (down) a hill with a massive smile on my face because I felt so good. But then when I have a bout of depression I stop because I feel I have no energy. I am two stone heavier than I was at the start of lockdown which I find quite difficult. But really once you've started on exercising regularly it does become more the 'norm' and easier to do.

I have a nearly two year and work nearly full-time.

Ive recently cut out all caffeine, sugar and processed foods. I’ve reduced my gluten and dairy intake & massively upped my veg intake & I feel like a different person. I’ve also started taking Vitamin D and a pro-biotic.
