TMI photo lumps in vagina and prolapse?

Hello,

I’m really sorry for the TMI photo which isn’t the best quality i really struggle to find help and real life pics online regarding this to compare to what is normal and what’s not. I plan to call the dr tomorrow anyway but looking for some advice and hopefully peace of mind. I have a painful cyst which I am not worried about but while I was checking it out I noticed that the inside of my vagina looks different to how I remember it. There seems to be some lumpy bits and it looks to me like I have a prolapse. Does anyone know if this looks normal or if I should be worried about the lumps?
ive had 2 vaginal births, 3 and 5 years ago.

thanks in advance

I have a prolapse and tbh mine looks similar. However I can definitely feel mine, and it feels like it's dragging out.

So I would ask the Gp to check - laying down and standing up.

Could be a prolapse without symptoms or could just be the way it is after childbirth. X

Thanks. I also think it looks like a prolapse but I don’t really have other symptoms but had an interesting BM yesterday that might have caused something.
i al most worried about the lumps, it’s like the vagina tissue is lumpy. I don’t know if this is new or it’s looked like this since childbirth and I just never noticed

Did you manage to speak to the doctor?

Hello,

yes I saw one and he said it’s a prolapse but only of the walls and not of the uterus. He said it’s nothing to worry about and I don’t have to do anything about it. I’m wondering if that’s true though and I’m still nervous when I poop if I might somehow make it worse!

I have 3 prolapses this looks similar. If you use FB there is a really helpful group FPOPS UK full of ladies with varying degrees of prolapse
There's links to a website with lots of photos on for reassurance but the key thing to remember is everyone is so different down there. That doctor's advice isn't good enough you need to know exactky what's going on. Your photo looks like rectocele and poss cystocele. GPS aren't very good sometimes when seeing or discussing prolapse you need a referral to a urogynaecologist or a private consultation at spire with a urogynaecologist (can highly recommend if you can budget,)

Hi! I have something which looks very very similar, I’m 8 weeks post partum. Did your doctor mention what ‘grade’ of prolapse it is? And can you feel it standing/sitting? intend to ring doctor tomorrow but in the meantime can’t stop worrying.

Hello!
no my dr was a bit useless but he did put my mind at rest that the lumpy things hanging out aren’t cancerous. Hopefully with you being so newly post partum you might get some extra help. I’ve been considering going back to the dr or to a specialist physio but it doesn’t give me any issues. I would like to know more though as I think mine might be rectal and that problem still isn’t sorted and every time I have a poo I worry I am making it worse.
let me know how you get on at the dr, try not to worry in the meantime x

Thanks for replying! I’ve read a lot of people saying gps aren’t great at advising on these problems! In terms of symptoms, now I know it’s there I’m sure I can feel it when I walk, but I might just be imagining it as I know it’s there. I don’t know if you’re the same? My main concern is it getting worse, and whether it could impact if I wanted to get pregnant again in the future.

TMI for photos I do apologise but I’m young and I have a 1 year old and I have extremely bad anxiety and before I go doctors I wanted to ask if anyone knew wat this could be? They are just on my hole and it’s worrying me as I’ve never seen this before and my partner also said he’s not seen it like that either. I have no symptoms at all with it. My worst fear is cancer so now that’s all I can think about😞 thanks in advance!
