Nipple discharge

So noticed last night that my left breast felt rather sore, whilst checking it in the bathroom I gave a small squeeze and noticed a small amount of clear sticky fluid, checked a few more times and it's happened twice more.
It's been 13 years since I stopped breastfeeding & it's never happened since then.
Im not taking any medication & there's only an incredibly slim chance that I could be pregnant & I'd be far too early for colostrum leaking anyway.
I'm 32 so don't think it's menopause related either.

Would it be wasting time to try and get a GP appointment? There's no lump or swelling there or anything like that, just concerned because it's literally never happened before but I do tend to panic over anything health related.

Hi. I currently have this same issue.

my left one too. It felt uncomfortable in my bra so I kid of readjusted it and when I pressed a small amount of fluid came out. 7 years since I breastfed.

gave myself a good check and can’t feel anything untoward and the breast doesn’t look any different.

went to gp Tuesday just gone and he said that I wasn’t describing anything worrying so gave me some antibiotics to try for a week in case it was the start of an infection and if it’s still happening in a weeks time I need to go back for a proper examination and go from there.

so far it’s still doing it but it’s only if I press on it. Doesn’t come out on it’s own.

sorry jumped on your thread but I understand the worry because I’m in exactly the same position

Just to add. I also panic over anything health related. And it also looks clear when it comes out but when I wiped it with a bit of cotton wool it’s looks yellow. I’m a similar age to you as well. 30.

I had similar discharge from my nipple (yellowy/green fluid) a few years ago and when checked out it was a large fibronoma (benign) but still advised to remove due to placing. Highly recommend getting it seen to.

Yes, could be a sign of breast cancer. Get checked as soon as you can for peace of mind

How did you ladies get on? Jumping on as i have a similar situation?

I had this a few years ago. I thought it was discharge but it turned out to be breast milk! I had blood tests done and found out my prolactin levels were very high! I was put on medication which bought my levels back down and the discharge/milk leaking stopped. You should definitely see the GP
