Endometriosis Symptoms

Hi ladies

I'm at my wits end right now.

I had a c-sec 2 years ago and for the past year I've been experiencing such immense pain near the scar. It happens right before my period is due then its such a uncomfortable pain during my period.

It's not menstrual cramps it's a tugging and pulling sensation under the scar.

The pain is so unbearable that I have to stop walking or rely on many painkillers.

The pain also occurs during ovulation.

I've been treated privately had a consultation and MRI scan done. The results have come back negative for Endometriosis!! I'm absolutely shocked I was sure they were going to find something.

The next option for me is to either have the Mirena IUD Coil fitted or a Laparoscopy surgery done. Either option will take about 2-3 months to get booked in.

I'm currently thinking over each option but I just want to ask if there is anyone in my position?

Right now its making every day tasks really hard I'm unable to pick up my toddler when she's upset and I can't do certain housework or even bend over.

Any advice would be great.

It cannot be ruled out all the same.

The MRI would not have readily picked up endometriosis if it is there because the endometrial deposits are so small. The usual way it is diagnosed is through laparoscopy which is a keyhole surgery procedure.

Something is causing this pain and it is certainly in your interests to find out what it is. Endometriosis can get onto c-section scars too. Given a choice I would go for the lap rather than the Mirena.

Any pain that is cyclical in nature and or gets worse up to and including menses should be checked out to determine if endo is the cause. Given your symptoms its a distinct possibility.
