Hi sorry not sure if this is the right place to post. I am currently on day 13 of recovery from a csection and wondering if my wound looks to be healing or?
The midwife checked on day 11 and said it was healing lovely and I've not dared to look at it until today. The right side of my wound looks to be healing lovely but the left looks like to me it could be infected?? Pictured is the left side of the wound.

I think I'd get that checked. Have you had the stitches removed as that still looks quite open.

It’s not infected (as far as I can tell from a pic) but needs a little dressing on it until it’s drier.

See your practice nurse.

Doesn't look right and must be very sore! Get it seen to x

Thank you for your replies. I didn't have stitches as far as I'm aware, I'm not sure how the incision was closed.

I've now been discharged from the midwife, can I still contact them to check as getting an appointment at the doctors will take weeks!

It doesn't feel sore at all to be honest. X

You have soluble sutures - you can see one there in the middle.

It should be a lot easier to get a nurse appointment than a GP one, just give them a ring and say you need to see the nurse as you have a problem with your C-section wound. You should get in today or tomorrow hopefully.

(I’m a nurse practitioner, we deal with this sort of thing all the time).

I've been in touch with the midwife and she seems to think it looks OK. I will give the GPS a call though and see what they think x
