Anyone else got hormonal imbalance?

Poppins17 · 26/09/2022 20:04

I’m currently having tests for suspected hormonal imbalance.

My symptoms have been ongoing for a while, but getting worse, including:

  • infertility
  • weight gain
  • acne
  • excessive hair growth - especially on face
  • night sweats
  • hair loss
  • tangled hair
  • heavy periods
  • low mood
  • low sex drive

Just lately I’ve been feeling worse, just off balance really and not myself.

Im going for more blood tests this week, so I’m hoping to get a formal diagnosis this week or next and talk to my GP about treatment.

Anyone else been diagnosed with hormonal imbalance and if so what has helped?

Thanks!

You need a diagnosis first and foremost but if the root cause is polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) have a look also at Verity’s website.

My ketogenic eating cooking Facebook groups are full of women who have eradicated symptoms of hormonal imbalance, many of them also suffer with PCOS as well.

The doctors have already said it’s pretty much certain but wanted me to have one more blood test to be sure. I’ve also had a scan to check for PCOS but it didn’t show signs of it.

I follow a lady (she is a doc) on YT, and she recommended taking evening primrose oil that I have been doing for over 2 years. Although each situation is individual, and visiting a doc is always recommended. My app also mentions benefits of taking the oil: iyoni.app/evening-primrose-oil-can-help-relieve-pms-symptoms/ However, first results take time.

Sorry your post was so long ago but just came across it… Hey how long does it take for evening primrose to make a difference?
I have severe pms symptoms main one being vomiting/nausea/hot flushes and been told to try Evening primrose
