Bleeding after 6 months with Mirena?

I had the mirena coil put in beginning of March, and since then have had spotting nearly every day. Not usually enough for a pad but enough that it’s on the tissue when I wipe (sorry for TMI!). I had all the necessary swabs and a smear at the same time as getting it inserted which all came back clear. I’ve made an appointment with the GP to get it checked out but has anyone had similar?

Should also add this is my third coil - others I’ve bled for a good few weeks but never this long. TIA!

Yes, mine never settled at all. I finally had it removed at 11 months because I was spotting or bleeding every single day. I was fobbed off for months ‘just give it time…it will settle’. It was hell.

I spotted for about 7 months with mine. Then it stopped and I now get a very light monthly period.
I’ve had a bit of spotting again recently, but I’m wondering if it’s to do with the fact that I’ve had covid recently 🤔

I know this an old thread but did it eventually stop? I’m 4 months in and not very hopeful it will ever stop! In fact it was very light for over a week and now it’s back with a vengeance! X

No it didn’t! I ended up having it out a couple of months ago after nearly a whole year of constant spotting. I’ve had 2 previously though that never caused me any issues! Hope it stops for you soon 🤞🏼
