Mirena coil and prolapse

Hi all

I'm 38, with bladder and possible uterine prolapse after 2 kids. Periods have got horrible, bleeding week before, shorter cycle, very heavy, so was keen to try mirena coil. But read somewhere hormonal methods with a prolapse weren't great as could make it worse. Before I go through the rigmarole of spending 5 hours sat on the phone to my gp then begging the receptionist to let me have an appointment this century, any advice/ information from anyone?

I would try and see a gynaecologist for an initial consultation as a private patient, particularly if finances permit. NHS gynae waiting lists are very long currently.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately no budget for private anything!

I did see private physio a while back but that was when savings were higher!
