I'm 25 and having some issues with my periods. For context I have 1 DS and had no difficulty conceiving him (he's now 3). I've never been super regular and period can differ a lot. I swing from 'normal' flow to heavy dependent on the month.
In June I had covid - prior to this my period fell on day 37-42 which is pretty standard for me and always has been since DS was born. Since covid my cycle has been 52 days and was quite heavy and painful which I put down to the super long cycle and then this time 48 days. I have been again very very heavy with small clots. I have been wearing regular (yellow ones!) tampons and can wear for 6 hours and it then begins to leak through. I haven't so far had to get up during the night but tend to have some clots first thing in the morning but not too much bleeding on the pad.
I'm now worried that I'm getting these small clots and my cycle length. I do have a family history of 'womens issues' however these were more extreme pain which touch wood I am not having e.g had no pain at all today (day 3) but have been heavy. My doctors are useless at the best of times and trying to get an appointment will be awful. I am not showing any symptoms of anemia.
Has anyone had anything similar at all? Is this really concerning? When I speak to DM she says something is clearly wrong but she has also always been 28 days on the dot with no issues!
Help!!
