Hi There

Im 37 and have been having bloating, bleeding between periods, more frequent urination especially at night and pelvic pain. Appetite less but I’ve not been doing as much recently.
Today I can’t do my jeans up without it hurting and I’ve had a dull pelvic pain all day. I did have a pelvic scan 6 years ago as I had similar just not the bloating, all was ok. I’ve stopped fizzy drinks. Do I see a doctor or wait for longer?

Sounds awful OP. I would see a G.P urgently or possibly even go straight to A&E.

Sunshineandroses5 · 03/09/2022 18:20

I don’t wish to worry you, it could all be perfectly fine however please get yourself checked, see the GP or an out of hours doctors as matter of urgency. The symptoms can be a sign of cancer

Hours of hours doctor can't really do anything. But defo your doctor on Monday as a urgent. It will probably be nothing but it's best to rule anything out.

allboysherebutme · 03/09/2022 22:32

A and E at least they can do scans ect.

st2022 · 03/09/2022 22:35

Thanks all, I will try and wait till Monday unless pain gets even worse, as can’t leave the kids!

I had something similar my whole life.
Turned out to be a condition called endometriosis.
Might be worth looking into :)
Good luck

Doctors on Monday. You need a referral to get everything checked out. It’s not an accident, emergency or out of hours issue but it is urgent, So straight on the phone / online Monday morning. Hope all is well.

SergeiL · 03/09/2022 22:36

Obviously though if the pain gets unbearable, it may become an emergency.

smine1 · 03/09/2022 22:38

Book in with your GP unless your pain is unmanageable, High temp or vomiting, that can be the sign of a ruptured cyst then it's a&e. Definitely go and get this looked at, I went to GP last week with similar, I had a internal and I have been referred for a scan. They did ask all questions relating to ovarian cancer so please get yourself seen. Flowers

So I went to my gp today and she’s referred me under the two week wait! So now I’m worried 🥲. She said my cervix looks angry and she called it a friable cervix! Tummy still very swollen and painful !

Glad you got a referral OP 💐try not to panic. I would still go to A&E if the pain is unbearable.

Hope you get an appointment through quickly and some answers.

AGreatUsername · 09/09/2022 11:23

Hi OP. Good luck with your appointment, it’s definitely best to get these things checked. You can call your referral venue (gynae I would think) and tell them you’ll take a cancellation, you don’t need fo wait for a letter from them.

st2022 · 09/09/2022 13:19

Hi All

I got an appointment through today for Wednesday 21st September! Seems like it’s along time away, but nothing I can do. I’m just so worried especially as I have children.

Have you had a blood test to check your CA125 levels?

You're young. The chances of it being sinister are low and they do appear to put people on the 2 week wait quite easily to get us through quicker. I have been out on twice, once for a breast lump and one for similar to you excluding bleeding and neither amounted to anything! Flowers

AGreatUsername · 09/09/2022 14:07

@st2022 Im glad you’ve got an appointment. I know how you feel, I went through the same thing back in May with symptoms not dissimilar although my cervix was not involved. If you feel you’d like some support, in general health there is a cancer support thread, we welcome people for a hand hold during this waiting period and before diagnosis too so please feel free to drop a message in there. We always hope people will be temporary guests but happy to help you through regardless.

st2022 · 09/09/2022 16:21

Thankyou all.

I don’t have bloods done until next Friday, there seems to be lots of people wanting their blood taken!!!!

just wish I knew either way, but gona have to try and keep mind occupied!

Thinking of you , I previously posted on your thread as I went to the gp with similar.. I had my bloods Wednesday and they called me yesterday and said my Ttg was very high and that they think I have celiacs disease. Referring me to gastro.. I know it's no consolation but I thought the worst , so keeping my fingers crossed for you. X

AGreatUsername · 21/09/2022 20:35

@st2022 how did your appointment go? Well I hope.

st2022 · 21/09/2022 21:33

Hi All

I had my appointment today. They found a cyst on my left ovary, which they didn’t seem concerned about and then told me the lining of my womb is unusually thick, particularly as I’ve only just had a period! So I’m having a hysteroscopy in a few weeks, where they will look closely and do a biopsy. My cervix was swabbed today but doctor thought that actually looked ok today!

thanks for support

Glad they are getting the ball rolling for you , good luck with the op and sending Flowers

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 21/09/2022 22:27

Good luck op. Just to let you know make sure you take painkillers before the hysteroscopy. I had one although I was second day of my period and it was very uncomfortable. I didn't take any painkillers beforehand. Good they're looking into it

Nat6999 · 21/09/2022 23:19

Could be the start of Endometriosis or an ovarian cyst.
