Norethisterone side effects?

Hello, have been prescribed norethisterone 5mg 3 times a day, cycle days 5 to 26, for heavy bleeding throughout my cycle. First month, I carried on bleeding throughout. This cycle I stopped as expected around day 7, carried on the tablets till day 26, expecting my period to start a few days later, however that was 3 weeks ago & I still haven't had a period/bleeding. I can't find anything online about this. I get it, I wanted the bleeding to stop but not all together 🙈 should I speak to the GP? Or just wait & see?

Hi @YummieMummyof3 no change, now on cd55...no sign of AF. Getting lots of abdo cramping though so who knows what's going on. Have you had similar?

Hi unfortunately my experience of northoserone is not positive.

I managed to take it for only one week. I was constantly bleeding heavily when I took the tablet and then it became lighter. The worse symptom for me was the migraine. I had never had as migraine before or since. It was so bad I couldn’t function with everyday life. I couldn’t drive. I was on annual leave from work as I wouldn’t have been able to get to work.

I had to stop taking it. The constant bleeding stopped and the flooding returned every month.
