Breast clinic - good experiences and tips please

Hi, I have my first appointment tomorrow as I'm now 52. Has anyone got any tips on what to do before, during or after?

I've read some horror stories about it being painful so if anyone has any good experiences they'd be good to hear too!

I'm not nervous, but I am very apprehensive.

Is it a mammogram? They're uncomfortable, but not really painful and they don't take long.

As the above poster said, uncomfortable rather than painful and over quite quickly. Good luck!
