Very irregular periods and hair loss

Hi,

Ever since my little boy was born (August 2018) I have had very irregular periods (anything from 30 - 120 days in between and I have followed this up through my local GP.

I have N appointment next week to discuss but I wasn't sure if anyone had been in this positive before and if so; did you notice a significant difference in your hair? Particularly any loss whilst washing? I don't know if this is just normal or not but I loose about 20-30 strands each hair wash and I cannot remember if this was ever the case before DS.

I have been tested (about 14) years ago for PCOS and all tests came back negative but can this develop even after being told I don't have it?
I only ask as this is what always comes up when looking on Google.

TIA!

Have you been tested for hypothyroidism?

Antarcticant · 20/08/2022 22:07

My first thought was PCOS - might be worth getting tested again.

You need up to date blood test results to test for potential thyroid issues and PCOS.

Anything done over 6 months ago should be discounted.
