Bleeding for 4 months

Hi everyone I really need some advice. I started bleeding at the beginning of May and basically haven't stopped since. I've seen my doctor who said she can't give me the tablet to stop bleeding as I'm on microgynon pill and she wants me to continue taking that without a break. Second time I went she gave me iron tablets as my iron was low which I'm still taking now. I rang again a few weeks ago as it still hadn't stopped and she mentioned a referring me for hysteroscopy. I received a phone call from the gyno saying they won't do the hysteroscopy until I've had another scan (I have scans every 6 months due to hydrosalpinx) my next scan isn't due until November which means they won't do the hysteroscopy until after than. I've rang my doctor to ask then if it's safe for me to continue bleeding until November time and to tell them that I'm beside myself with worry and I can't sleep due to being worried and the receptionist said I need to ring the doctor Monday morning for a telephone consultation as they couldn't book me in yesterday. I'm just so worried about it I've never had anything like this happen before. Has anyone had anything similar? Thanks.

I wish I could help but as I have been bleeding continuously for a year now, with it getting worse and certainly more painful as the weeks and months have done on. I blame the lack of face to face appointments, even telephone only appointments with the hospital doctors too. Had tests and letters and telephone calls but despite being on the cancer pathway on several occasions I have had no discussion with a gynaecologist face to face until a few days ago when feeling really ill I presented myself to A&E and after 48 hours did see a gynae. Now thankfully on the list for a hysterectomy. Please don't leave it as long as I did.

I'm sorry you've had to go through that...how awful. I've been having scans every 6 months due to hydrosalpinx and all of them seemed normal, even on my last ultrasound I was bleeding but again everything seemed OK. The doctor put me on iron tablets and said nothing else, it took me to phone them and say I'm still bleeding what can I do? I was annoyed when the gyno said I'd have to wait until November for my next ultrasound to determine whether I'd need a camera or not and they seem happy for me to continue bleeding. It's ridiculous and I'm so worried about it. I'm going to ring the doctor again Monday and push whatever I can.
