Operation to fix botched episiotomy

Hi all, I have to have an operation to fix an episiotomy that wasn't stitched up correctly.
The operation date has been a long time coming and my maternity leave has nearly ended. I hadn't considered that this might be something I would have to take time off work for (to heal) - can I ask if anyone has any experiences of this and how long (if any time) did you have to take off work? My job involves a lot of walking around and lots of stairs.

I get really anxious having time off work - but I was thinking it might be best for me to prepare my employer that I have an operation coming up and may have to take some time to recover. The initial plan was to have it done during maternity leave but obviously an appointment didn't come up.

Thanks in advance!

I've had a similar operation and needed 3 weeks off, had to take it easy with no heavy lifting etc for 6 weeks x

Thanks so much for your reply! I had two weeks in my head so it's useful to know it could be longer.
