WWYD? Sudden onset of pain from rectocele.

What it says really, I have a confirmed rectocele. I'm seeing a colorectal specialist because I also have pelvic floor issues.
Since Sunday, I've been aware of a bulge (feels like it's going to fall out), and a horrible ache in that area.
I've obviously done something to trigger the pain, but don't have a clue how.
I already have an appointment at the end of September, but I would like opinions on whether it would be ok to ask them to bring my appointment forward (if possible).
WWYD?

Sincere sympathies, I've had a rectocele and associated issues for decades. It could be internal piles that you've been unaware of, or an anal fissure, which often go hand in hand with rectoceles. In turn piles can flare up from something you've eaten.

It could be a bit of hard poo stuck in the rectocele, if you don't already get do this try pushing on the back wall of your vagina if this is a possibility, and upping your fibre intake.

No harm in asking for your appointment to be brought forward. If it's any comfort though, I've had loads of horrible symptoms over the years and it's never been anything serious.

@fluffycushioncover, thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, none of the scenarios you've mentioned apply as I've already had several people having a good rummage around up my bum, including a proctogram and two flexible sigmoidoscopies.
I was having problems because of the rectocele amongst other things, but at that point it wasn't painful. Now, I'm back at the point I was ten years ago.
Literally everything I do, I've got this feeling that my insides are about to fall out, plus a horrible deep ache and pulling sensation. Sad
