Hi,

I've been given medroxyprogesterone to take to stop my period for around 7 days.

Has anyone ever taken this before?

Is there any side effects I need to be aware of? My GP said it's the same as northisterone but I couldn't find much about it online except it's oncology uses.

Thanks x

why are they not giving you Norethisterone?

MPA is used in some forms of HRT, so its action is the same.

@JinglingHellsBells there's a shortage of northisterone across the north west Sad
