Hormones/cycle/thyroid blood test advice

I'm late 30's, for the past 2 years my cycle has been different. Had LH/FSH test done last year the LH result was 2.9 iu/L, on cycle day 25 - the result was normal but I wasn't asked what cycle day I was on and I queried that it should be done on day 3 (read on google) and the nurse said no any day is fine. The FSH was 2.2 iu/L.

I started spotting around ovulation around 2 years ago (have always had painful ovulation), my cycles have got more unpredictable - sometimes I'm 25 days, sometimes I'm 35 days (always been 28 days). Sometimes I flood - always had heavy periods but twice this year I have had to shower as the blood has run to my feet. I'm having flushes, "period flu", headaches, joint aches, can't lose weight, my PMT is awful - I can feel my body switching from my normal self to this het up bundle of emotions, I feel out of sorts around ovulation - out of balance. I have to make plans around my cycle, and I'm just genuinely fed up of the situation!

All my smears have been normal and I'm up to date. I have had 3 cs, leaving probable scar tissue/adhesions.

I am wanting to pay privately for some blood tests to figure out exactly what's going on and maybe I need the pill to regulate me a bit (not on any contraception - haven't been for 15 years). My GP surgery is awful right now, so hence me looking privately.

My thyroid was also tested last year and the free T4 was 14.2pmol/l, TSH was 1.6miu/l. I had another full blood test earlier this year and my TSH was 2.2miu/l, T4 wasn't tested. These results were satisfactory. Hypothyroidism is in my family. I've never had T3 or the antibody test.

Can anyone recommend what I should get tested? I was thinking progesterone and oestradiol? Not sure if it's worth getting a full thyroid screen too as many of my symptoms could point to hypothyroidism? Or Peri?

Any advice would be great, thank you!

LH/FSH is usually measured around day 2 or 3 in the cycle. Having that test done when you had it done was a waste of time and the nurse was wrong.

Any blood test result done over 6 months ago should be discounted. You need up to date test results.
