Prolonged period really worried

Just wondering if anyone else has been through something similar. My periods have become very irregular recently. Started spotting but now I don't know when the spotting has ended and the period has begun. Can't keep track anymore. Not heavy but have bloating and cramps most of the time. Some days the blood is red but mostly brown. I've seen the GP who said my cervix was inflamed and did bloods and a smear which all came back clear. I have a scan coming up and I am petrified. It's giving me bad anxiety

You need investigating by gynae. Could be hormone imbalance, fibroid, or worst case scenario cancer. I'm in same situation. Day 18 of a bleed. It's very worrying. Seek medical help and hope it is something easily sorted out.

It sounds horrible. You have a scan booked, so the sooner you have answers the better. As they always say, its probably something simple.

How old are you ? Are you peri menopause age ?

I've just had a scan unf can't see lining of uteroys properly via scan. Just showed diameter. Need a hysteroscopy so gynae can see clearly / take biopsy etc.

How old are you? Something like that is fairly standard leading up to the menopause.

I am 37. My scan was clear. They didnt see any abnormalities so i have no idea what is wrong!
