If you have had a kidney infection how long after starting antibiotics did you become pain free?

So dd (20) diagnosed with kidney infection on Saturday night. Taking co-amoxidax 3 times per day and has had 5 doses so far (first one on Sat night, 3 on Sunday, and has had morning dose today) but still has some pain (woken up at 6 am today with it). How long was it before antibiotics kicked in for you and the discomfort stopped? Also did you have a UTI before the kidney infection since dd doesn't recall having a uti

Also if you are sick an hour after taking it (she was an hour after yesterday mornings dose) will you have absorbed any of it?

48 hours until any improvement. Also don't underestimate how much water you need to drink with a kidney infection

Thank you - its been 36 hours so I am prematurely worrying. Off upstairs to force feed her more water!

@LimitIsUp what were her symptoms? I have back pain with nausea and yesterday I also had diarrhoea, but I don't have a fever, so I'm guessing it can't be a kidney infection. The back pain is one sided and waking me up at night.
