PCOS/long bleed/ what should I do

Hi, I have PCOS so can go 2/3 months without periods, my latest was nearly 3 months.
I then spotted for two weeks and my bleeding started properly 2 weeks ago, it’s just not seemed to slow down or stop, but I have no cramps etc whatsoever (I did for around 1 day but nothing bad)
Doctor prescribed me tranexamic acid which seems to stop it then I might have a little bleed then it dissapears again, my private gynae told me to try this for a week (on day 2) he said it could be because I’ve missed 3 months so I’m now having a long one
should I be worried? Last smear results came back clear in March, last year I had the HPV but this one showed it was gone, I had an ultrasound including internal in April and no fibroids or polyps detected just cysts on ovaries and possibly endometriosis but not confirmed. I’m freaking out a bit that it could be more sinister has anyone had anything similar
