So , I'm 23 . I have never been on birth control , I refuse to have the pill or implant . Or coil . My reasons for this is because im scared of health problems it may cause ? My sound silly but I do have health anxiety . Me & partner use comdoms and it works for us . Has anyone else never been on bc ? And what's your reason for this ? I no some peoples body's don't take to any kind of hormones .

I don't like the thought of more hormones in my body. Thoughts ?

We used condoms for years before and after i had the kids...i have had a copper coil for the last lot of years because i don't want an accident and can't be arsed with the faff of condoms anymore..

Back in the day a cap was an option - still is if you ask. Was really convenient, especially if teamed with condoms.

No, I haven't, and managed 30 years of fertility without conceiving (by choice). One reason was that I am prone to high blood pressure. Another was that with barrier contraception you are absolutely certain it's there, in use - no worries about forgetting to take the Pill, or that it might not work if you have a stomach upset (I am an IBS sufferer so very relevant in my case). If it fails it's usually obvious at the time so you can do something about it straight away.
