Norethisterone - anyone taken before?

I haven’t had a period since coming off the pill in November. I have been given 42 norethisterone tablets (2 weeks). I’m going on holiday in a week so am anxious about my period starting whilst away and have also read they can make your mood awful. So I’m thinking of delaying taking them until I’m back?

Has anyone had any experience with taking this?

also has anyone taken it to kick start periods, did it work?

I took them for my honeymoon. No effects on mood.

Yes, many years ago l took them to delay a period as l was going away on holiday. l remember they made me feel rather bloated and a bit crabby, but not too awful. I think it depends on how well you tolerate progesterone.

enough to put me off next time

I've taken them a few times as part of ivf treatment. Always been fine.
