Period delay and migraines

Pear21 · 15/07/2022 12:22

I’m hoping to try and delay my next period because we will be on holiday (otherwise difficult for my OH to take the kids to the pool etc).

My question is what’s the best method please?

  1. The pill - (but I previously came off this as it gave me migraines in the pill free week)
  2. period delay medicine - says not suitable for migraines
  3. mini pill - but obviously then don’t have any control over when periods might be?
  4. other?
should say I still do get migraines every month when my period is due - will this affect my options?

thanks

Is it ok to take these medicines that say not suitable if you get migraines since I’m getting migraines every period anyway even when I’m not using them?

Also it looks like the period delay tablets need to be taken 3 or 4 days before you’re due. I’m not sure how this would work for me because at the moment my cycle is anywhere between 21 and 29 days?

can anyone help please?
