Severe leg pain pain after vaginal prolapse surgery

Posting on behalf of my lovely 84 year-old mum who is having a terrible time with persistent pain in her legs since her surgery 3 weeks ago. We have seen 2 doctors, spent an entire day in A&E, spoken to 2 GPs in the last week and no one thinks it is serious/dangerous and each time it has led to new/increased pain relief, but she is really struggling and - she says after yet another bad, sleepless night - a bit frightened .😔 I am so worried and don’t know what to do next. If anyone has any experience of this, or advice, I’d really appreciate hearing from you. Thank you

Sounds awful and not right. I would head back for another day in A and E I think. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Your Mum can't be expected to live like this. Hope you get some help.

I'd be worried it was a DVT. Is it hot or red or swollen?

It’s both legs - tight and swollen. But a blood test and a physical examination by 2 doctors has ruled out dvt
