Partially removed tube and hydrosalpinx

Hi all I need some advice and people who have this as I can't find much on the old Web. I've had 1 tube removed and the other partially removed over 10 years ago and conceived my child through ivf 7 years ago. 4 years ago I was sent for a scan due to dull pains and irratation before my periods and was told I had cysts on my ovaries that needed checking every 4 months to make sure they didn't grow or turn into anything sinister. I recently had another scan which apparently revealed the cyst is not in my ovary but in my partial tube along woth hydrosalpinx. Again they've said it's nothing concerning and continue with checks every 4 months. I've been put on the pill to take constantly to stop my periods but just recently I've had a month long period..again they're not concerned just told me to keep track. Does anyone else have this and what symtoms did you have? What was done about it?
Thankyou

Hi!

l’ve just been diagnosed with hydrosalpinx in my left Fallopian tube after it was initially mistaken for a large ovarian cyst which I also have a history of. My symptoms were sharp pain and a bloated stomach over the past couple of months. My gynecologist wants to get it out as it’s already about 10 cm so I am having an op in August to remove the hydrosalpinx and potentially both Fallopian tubes depending on how they look. I previously had an emergency hysterectomy and the dr thinks this may be something to do with that surgery which was very rushed due to sepsis. I hope that helps, I’ll report back after the surgery with an update if you like. Best of luck with your ongoing situation

Thankyou for your reply and that sounds awful. I had hydrosalpinx in my left tube before having it partially removed before ivf. Ive been having scans due to ovarian cysts which they now say is clear but found the hydrosalpinx. As I'm not struggling with the pain they won't do anything unless it gets worse after my follow up. I hope everything goes OK qoth your operation and you recover quickly.
