Hi everyone,
I'm very very anxious and super nervous and awaiting biopsy results.
if anyone could shed light on their experience I'd greatly appreciate it.
I had my first ever smear in feb 2022 (I am 25 years old) and it came back with low grade dyskaryosis & HPV positive. Went for colposcopy in may (long waiting time due to hospital covid backlog they told me) and during the colposcopy they took 2 biopsies (I'm assuming from 2 different parts of my cervix maybe?).
I asked the doctor if any cells needed to be removed immediately (I know some ladies said they were offered LLETZ straight away - so I prepared myself for this) - and the doctor said no and the changes looked "mostly viral"...
I know the virus in question is of course HPV but i'm not sure what she meant by "mostly viral" - is this good or bad or makes no difference?
I should be receiving results later this week or early next week and i'm soooo anxious. I'm young and definitely want to have healthy babies in the future hopefully and also I know some said after LLETZ their sexual sensation changed too so of course concerned about that, but mostly about being able to carry and have children in the future.
