Bleeding after sex

So… I bleed every time after sex, this has been going on for a few months.(Never painful , always use lubricant)

I have a 19 month old and have been with my partner for 7 years for reference.
I had an ectropion cervix during pregnancy and bled a few times randomly.

My mum had cervical cancer at 28 , but I recently had a smear test and appeared normal, though it did say they didn’t test the cervical cells only for hpv which was negative

should I be worried? Or is it likely just the ectropion

It's probably just ectopian but you need it seen to.

I’ve got the same thing plus pain. Also a 19 month old. I think I’ve been to the GP about ten times about it. Smear clear and my ectropian doesn’t bleed when touched with swab. I’ve also had a few tests for infections. All but the last one were clear. My last one showed bacterial vaginosis though and I’m on antibiotics now. Not sure if that’s been the reason all along and the swabs just hadn’t picked it up

Just the bleeding after sex and quite a bit of pain for a day or so. No weird discharge or smell so I was surprised when they said I had an infection.

@Whoatealltheminieggs oh that’s interesting , I’ll deffo try and book an app to check it’s not an infection then. Though, my drs is impossible to get an app at 🤣

i would get this checked up (bleeding after sex or bleeding between periods) - book appt with gp. If you can’t get one, then sometimes it may be easier to see sexual health services?

Are you on birth control? I think you need a full gynae check and uterine scan (not a doctor.) this used to happen me. I got tested for chlamydia (negative.) I was also experiencing really heavy periods. Eventually got a mirena coil, but only after ruling out all possible causes.

My bleeding after sex has stopped since starting a Triphasic contraceptive .
been trying to get to the bottom of it for so many years now and moving doctors and having them actually be interested in wanting to help was a massive help.

My bleeding was due to polyps on my cervix. Had them removed in a minor op and a mirena coil fitted. No problems since. But do get it checked out.
