Options for delaying period

I've got a really big holiday coming up next month, first time away without kids, so hoped for spontaneous sex, hope to be in and out of the pool. And so of course, typically, my period will be likely to arrive while I'm there.
I'm taking the POP but get pretty regular periods (as well as ovulation pain) so it's pretty likely to be then. Dr won't switch me to combined pill as the risks outweigh the benefit. Won't give me that hormone tablet to delay it because I'm already on hormonal contraception.
It doesn't sound like I have any option - to stop the pill and get a prescription for the noristherone thing from Boots? Is it the same as my Noriday mini pill anyway? If I stop taking the pill, will that mess up my cycle anyway? And then I'd have to use condoms, which are almost as bad as the problem I'm trying to avoid. Grr, periods, running everything!
