Ovulation spotting

I'm mid 40's and for the first time ever I've spotted mid cycle, I'm ovulating and aside from bloating and mega flatulence today and period pains which I usually get earlier on I noticed a tiny amount of blood when I went to the loo.

I've never had this before, and I'm a little freaked out as DH and I had a mishap on Saturday night.

Hi ! I am your age and since last year I've started spotting ( sometimes a bit more than spotting) mid cycle. I had a polyp removed, as the doctor thought the polyp was the cause of the spotting. Polyp removed , mirena inserted and spotting still there...... so I'm guessing it's a perimenaupose thing!

Hi Op I've got mid cycle spotting this morning. Also your age! I've had it before but that was within the first 4 months after my now toddler was born. I'm also still breastfeeding her. GP said is was breastfeeding causing it last time and not to worry. This time...I'm thinking I'll monitor it for 2/3 months and then ask again. I had odd bleeding after a miscarriage when I was 43 and it was put down to hormones then too. I'm up to date with smears..only just had one a couple of months ago so..
