A year or so ago I was referred to breast clinic for a lump I could feel in my armpit. The Dr wasn't greatly concerned but agreed to refer me.
The appt was a bit confusing as the mammogram showed something which concerned them on my other breast, but turned out to be fine.
They wrote on my notes benign polyp in armpit.
I went back to the Dr in April re the lump as its more noticeable, to me. She asked me to come back a month later and she did another examination.
Gp said its just the original polyp and no concern.
I still feel a bit concerned: is it bigger? I am not sure.
It feels slightly uncomfortable if I put my arms beside my sides.
I don't quite feel it is valid to go back to gp again so soon, but I am a bit worried.
What would you do?
Also what is a polyp?
