I've always had heavy periods it calmed down a little after I had my daughter who's now 11 but it's started to get heavy again. I have recently been getting pains in my stomach it started at work and was hard to lift things I thought it was a uti. I had my period at the start of the month so thought it couldn't be that but two weeks later I started bleeding. Not a normal period just pink blood and the cramps have continued. This had gone for 10 days now and it's just making me miserable and today it's got heavier. When I'm not at work I just want to lie down and sleep. I wake up some mornings thinking it's gone away go to the toilet and there's nothing then later there's blood. I know it's not normal but I don't know why it's happening I have an appointment in 2 weeks just didn't know what it could be and googling it just brings up endless things. Has anyone else had this?

Yup. Me. Hyper ovulation. I basically had a period every two weeks. Ended up having twins as I released two eggs.

I have a short cycle and have 2 periods a month a few times a year. Pain in the wotsit!

Normal for me, but yours is a change to your norm op so its needs investigating. Make an apt with your gp (and maybe get iron levels checked while you're at it).
