Wondering if anyone has any experience of taking supplements for PMS? I'm looking for something that helps me to feel normal during the week or so before my period, it's affecting me way too much. Would appreciate your experience

Didn't see your post, I've just posted similar 🤦🏻‍♀️

In the past I've taken all sorts, the only ones I've stuck with are magnesium and evening primrose oil. But still feeling like a lunatic, so maybe don't take my advice. I think it depends what symptoms you're trying to alleviate though: the magnesium does help with sleeplessness and I take EPO to help with sore boobs (still breastfeeding, so I needed SOMETHING to make it even bearable that week). I haven't found anything to help with the mood swings.

Thanks for replying. I'm looking for something to basically help with the fatigue (I feel exhausted the week before, struggle to function at work) and just generally disconnected. No pains but just lethargy and brain fog more than anything. I don't mind the mood swings Grin

I used to take evening primrose oil and it got rid of my PMS....because it started my period 10 days early. Every month. I avoid it now.

I am currently trialing this www.iamthecaveman.com/product-page/pm8-pms-cycle-support

I have only been taking it a few days so unfortunately I can't say whether it's doing anything for me just yet. I have read rave reviews from some of the athletes I follow whose PMS symptoms were so debilitating that they couldn't train properly and this seems to be helping them.

I have had terrible pmdd for the last year.. I rant, cry, have arguments over trivial things .. especially after ovulation has happened. I have recently this month oth been taking cetrizine hydrochloride for itching and to help me sleep and my mood has been better, things don't bother me. I'm not sure If it's because my sleep has improved or the tablet subduing my emotions.. But I've been glad of not creating upset and tension this month. I am also trying to eat more vegetables like broccoli and salads so will continue with this. I think I can't continue with the antihistamine as I do feel it will lose its efficacy, I'm going to try ashwagandha which is good for anxiety.
