Hello has anyone had similar symptoms? I'm 10 months post partum. My periods initially came back normally but for the last 8/9 weeks I've been bleeding. At first it started off as a brown discharge but for the last three weeks it has been very heavy. Changing pads/tampons every 1/2 hours. Completely fed up. I can't exercise, go for a walk or barely even leave the house. I'm so down as im so anxious that im seriously ill. I booked a gp appointment after 2 weeks. Earliest appointment was 2 weeks after that. She did an examination of me and said it looked normal. She wanted to watch and wait for another month. Last week I tried to book another earlier appointment due to the heaviness of the bleeding but next appointment isn't until June so have kept the one I already have which is tomorrow. I've had some private hormone tests and thyroid bloods and all have come back normal. What could this be becaus DR Google tells me the worst. Please help.

Does your GP have an emergency booking system on the day? Mine allows us to book in at opening time and get an appointment for that day. Changing a pad or tampon that often must mean you’re losing an awful lot of blood over the course of weeks, you’ll be at risk of deficiencies. I’m sorry OP, I’m sure you’re exhausted by now. If nothing will come from with GP call 111, bleeding that much in general isn’t normal x
